A Message on Suffering

How do you respond to suffering?
A word from our Pastor, Jeremy Nottingham

Every trial we face has the potential to produce good in our lives. James 1:2-5 tells us to, “Count it all joy, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” Whatever you may be going through, I encourage you to bring it before the throne of God. He cares for you and truly sympathizes with you. Hebrews 4:14 says, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” Today, I challenge you to surrender your suffering unto God and trust He has a plan and a purpose for your life. He is faithful, He is good, and He will never leave or forsake you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, would you strengthen me in this time of suffering and pain, and help me to live out a faithful example and witness to all those around me. Increase my faith and my trust in you through this difficult trial. Help me to become steadfast in my walk with you, Lord. I pray that through the good days and bad that you will continue to do a great work in me. Let your comfort and peace overwhelm me in this time. It is in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
