Missions
A passion to be obedient to Jesus' plan for missions is the motivation for our vision for missions, Jesus gave us the plan in Acts 1:8.
Some of the ministry opportunities we have been a part of and are currently involved in:
- Ministry to area schools. LifeGroup classes have committed to feeding faculty at the Rankin Learning Center (Alternative School) every month this school year. We are in contact with the administration of area schools and are actively pursuing opportunities to minister to school personnel and students. Please contact us if you know of needs or would like to be invovled in ministry to area schools.
- Through ministry opportunities such as Church at Work on Easter Sunday, "Blitz Bowl" on Super Bowl Sunday as well as others, FBC Brandon is consistenly involved in and searching for creative ways to be involved in ministering to physical/spiritual needs in the Brandon and Rankin County area.

- Family Mission Trip to New Orleans, March 13-16, 2011. What an incredible time! 98 people went to New Orleans and served a city so in need of Christ. We served a senior adult daycare, an inner city preschool daycare, and a new church plant in Metarie with door to door evangelism. The most exciting aspect of this trip is parents model and teach missions/serving to their children and that through a 1/2 week "mission trip" families will return to our community and make local missions/service a part of their lives on a consistent basis. *Stay tuned for information on the 2012 Family Mission Trip opportunities in New Orleans, LA and Clarkston, GA during Spring Break 2012, March 10-14.
- Navaho Reservation Mission Trip, June 4-13, 2011. Trip will include a Vacation Bible School for children, evangelistic type services for adults/children at night, and other ministry to the residents on the Reservation. *Planning for the June 8-18, 2012 Navaho trip is currently underway.
