The Men’s Ministry creates a forum for men at First Baptist Church of Brandon to build Christ-like character through commitment to God, fellowship/building relationships with other men, and serving. We are seeking to lead men to KNOW, GROW, GO and become strong and courageous spiritual leaders in their families, church and community.
 
 
Men's Small Groups Through meeting regularly with other men, we can be actively and intentionally involved in seeing Proverbs 27:17, ("As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another") demonstrated in our lives as well as the lives of those we meet with. There are various opportunities to get involved with one of these men's small groups. COMPLETED 2011 EVENTS/PROJECTS
 
Central Hills Baptist Camp, Attala Cty.
We were able to complete reconstruction of the shooting range covered shed and the campfire amphitheatre in May 2011. 45-50 men from FBC Brandon participated in this project. The size of the shooting range shed was increased by 1/3. The campfire amphitheatre seating capacity was increased from approximately 200 to well over 300. Thanks to all who participated in rebuilding these structures and thanks to all who give toward Mississippi Baptist ministries. Through ministries such as Central Hills, hundreds trust Christ each year.
 
Shine!, March 5, 2011
Several men, ladies, college students, and youth/children participated in Shine 2011. Most painted the interior hallways/stairways at Provine High School in Jackson. We served alongside other churches at Provine and across the Jackson-Metro area. All had a blast serving the Lord and working together to demonstrate our appreciation and support of the faculty and students at Provine. Date for Shine 2012 is Feb. 25 with March 3 as a rainout date
 
 
 
Emergency/Disaster Relief Team  We are always looking for new members to join us! Our team is prepared to mobilize quickly on an as needed basis to help with local/state emergencies or disasters. We are in need of chainsaw owners/operators, 4 wheel drive/ATV/heavy equipment owners/operators, individuals with construction experience, and general volunteers. For those available/interested, we schedule trainings through our Mississippi Baptist Disaster Relief team periodically.
