Duck calls—though the source of his livelihood—are not what makes Phil Robertson the man he is today.  When asked what matters in his life, he’s quick to say, “Faith, family, ducks—in that order.”  Phil’s is the remarkable story of one man who followed the call he received from God and soon after invented a duck call that would begin an incredible journey to the life he had always dreamed of for himself and his family.  In the love of his country, his family, and his maker, Phil has finally found the ingredients to the “good life” he always wanted.  Check out Happy, Happy, Happy: My Life and Legacy as the Duck Commander

The DVD Unconditional is a beautiful movie based on the real life “Papa” Joe.  With a strong Christian worldview, it talks about God’s providence and unconditional love, and clearly calls people to serve those in need – especially children who have no fathers.  It shows how God’s love to us and through us can impact the lives of so many people around us. There’s some brief violence and mature thematic elements that require caution for younger children.  You’ll also enjoy Firebird –the children’s book that parallels the life of the main character in the DVD.

ATTENTION LIBRARY PATRONS: PLEASE take a few seconds to check out the materials you would like to borrow.  All we need is your name or patron number and the library bar code that is on the front upper left corner of each item.  Right now we have several items missing.  When other patrons ask for them and they can’t be located, we don’t know whether they are “out” or whether they are lost and need to be replaced.  Please help us make our lending library a great resource for our church family.  (Linda Barber, Church Library Director)

Church Library Hours: Wednesdays on the College Street Campus from 10:00 a.m. until 7:15 p.m.  Sundays at the Boyce Thompson Campus – before and after worship hours.
