I’m admonished by so many never to mention numbers. “We are about people, not numbers.” I agree 100%! There I go again, using a number to quantify how much I agree. The fact is our lives are gravid with numbers. Banking, sports, weight, grocery stores and the Bible. God has a book of the Bible called “Numbers.” Jesus told a parable about a shepherd who left 99 sheep to rescue 1. Palestinian shepherds had names for their sheep. This shepherd could have identified the one sheep that was missing but Jesus was proving he cared for the lost. He went on to tell about a woman with 10 coins and a daddy with 2 boys and a church that added 3000 people during 1 verse of “Just As I Am.” I am handed a report each and every week that updates me on our offerings. Offerings are a sure indicator of our faithfulness. The Bible has plenty of lessons about money. Could it be that people are interested in certain numbers but not all numbers? I think the primary number of a church is souls being saved. Second are the growth numbers: Sunday School/Life Groups, discipleship groups. Third, how many are on mission? As of today we have 91 baptisms. Every number is a life, a story of redemption, a story of a gospel presentation. I’m praying for 9 more stories, lives, souls during the month of July. K-Xtreme and Boomerang Express is the perfect time to see 9 saved. Our church year ends on August 9th. 100 is too little. I rarely pray for too little but its the number that God has placed on my heart.
100.

Benevolent Fund
Hello,
My name is Patricia. I’m currently trying to assist a distant relative with trying to find a church to assist her with a burial/funeral expense of $625.00 for 3 month old baby girl (granddaughter) funeral. The mother is a 15 yrs old minor. The grandmother who is my distant cousin is currently on public aid/welfare and don’t have the money to pay. Also she does not have a pastor to oversee the graveside burial. Can you assist? My cousin’s name is Boone and she can be reached at 601-941-4472. Thank you for your time.
