Jane has been at FBC for 13 years and has been involved with Outreach ministry for all of that time. Currently she directs Casting Call, our Wednesday evening outreach to first time guests. Together with her team, she gathers information about our church, special emphasis details and homemade bread to include in each welcome bag for church members to deliver to homes of our first time guests from the previous Sunday.
Boley Kent and Terry Guests are two invaluable members of the team that helps our first time guests get a warm welcome after their initial visit. Jane is also thankful for her staff minister-Mike May and ministry assistant, Shirley Waltman-who help get the background information necessary to make the outreach visits possible.
When asked about why she serves in this important area, Jane responded, “ I love people and want them to feel welcome in our church.”
Thanks to you, Jane and many others who serve each week in Casting Call, they do!
Interested in serving in this important area? Go by the Casting Call table located in the foyer of our banquet hall, East Campus any Wednesday between 5-6 pm. Volunteers are needed to visit homes in our community and share the love of Jesus with a smile and a direct expression of care through the welcome bags.

Way to go, Jane!!! Besides being great to work with on any project or job, Jane is the extreme example of dependability and consistency. I can always depend on her ability to plan and carry through every detail of a project for excellent results and always with a big lovely smile!!
She always has her antennas up for information or people with needs. What a blessing to FBC. Love you, Jane!!!

For my part Jane could be the volunteer of the Year. Not only does she give so much of her time to seeing that our visitors are welcomed, she also makes us old timers at FBC,Brandon, know that we are loved and have a purpose for
God placing us here. She is a great encourager and so very pleasant to work with. Thank you Jane for all you mean to us and to God’s kingdom.

Jane, you are an inspiration to me and to others. I know if Jane Werne is in charge of something - it’s going to get done - and it will be GOOD!!! You always have a smile - NO MATTER WHAT!! I love you and know you are in God’s hands all the time.

It is not hard to see that Jane is a Godly woman. She has a smile big enough to share with those that don’t feel like smiling sometimes. Jane is truly a people person. She has found her gift and is putting it to very good use.

Hats Off to you ….Jane!!
You are very deserving of the Volunteer of the Month.
When I first visited with Mike and Jane Werne in their home, she asked what no other person has asked me on a visit. She said, “What type of outreach ministry do you have at FBC Brandon?” The reason for her question was due to her passion for reaching out to those inside and outside of the church. Ever since that day in 1995 she has been faithful to serve and lead out in the ministry of outreach!! Jane - only heaven knows the eternal difference you have made in many lives through the years!!

Jane, you are a true child of God - always thinking of the other person before yourself. You are an inspiration and encouragement to many people. Congratulations on being named Volunteer of the Month. I cannot think of anyone else more deserving.

Jane,
Thanks for your helping us remember our focus is on others. As Boley Kent says often, “You are the Best of the Best”. I appreciate your servant heart and modeling it consistently.

Jane,
Even though I haven’t known you very long, in the time I have spent with you it is evident that you have a passion for people. Thanks for all you do in reaching out and making people feel welcome in our church. What a difference you make by using the gifts God has given you! I look forward to getting to know you better and serving side by side with you at our church.

Jane,
Thanks for the wonderful impact you make in the lives of both Chritians and those who are without Christ. Your heart and desire for the lost is a shining example of how God wants to love His creation through those who call themselves His children. Way to go!!!! And God bless you.
